Overy and Lusale have officially joined Manchester United, adding fresh talent to the Red Devils’ ranks. Both players were included in the squad submitted to the Premier League last Friday.
Alongside signings like De Ligt, Ugarte, and Zirzkee, Manchester United have been focusing on strengthening their academy with rising stars. Samuel Lusale and James Overy are the latest additions. The club had to wait for Premier League and FA approval before confirming the moves, but now both players can train with the team and look forward to making their debuts.
Lusale, a 16-year-old talent, comes from Crystal Palace. He gained attention during the international break, delivering a standout performance for Slovakia. Lusale contributed a goal and an assist in their under-18 match against Wales.
James Overy, a 17-year-old full-back, joins from Perth Glory in Australia. His former coach, Marc Revell, compared Overy’s style to legends like Cafu and Roberto Carlos. “He’s an attacking wing-back, perfect for today’s game where full-backs operate more in the opponent’s half,” Revell shared with ‘Mid Devon Advertiser.’
In addition to Overy and Lusale, Manchester United has signed youth sensation Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal. However, the striker’s move is still awaiting final clearance. No issues have been reported, so his signing should be finalized soon.
