Stefanos Tsitsipas showcased his prowess on the clay courts of Monte Carlo as he secured his third Monte Carlo Masters title in four years, defeating Casper Ruud with a commanding score of 6-1, 6-4.

The 25-year-old Greek athlete asserted his dominance early in the match, swiftly clinching the opening set in a mere 36 minutes.

Despite a spirited effort from Norwegian opponent Casper Ruud in the second set, which saw the score tied at 4-4, Tsitsipas showcased his resilience and skill to pull ahead in the final crucial games.

Reflecting on his triumph, Tsitsipas expressed gratitude and elation, particularly considering the challenges he had faced. “It’s been a very difficult time for me, so to be back on the podium and winning, it’s amazing,” he remarked.
