Seven-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC have walked separate ways with head coach James Odoch, according to sources.

The decision follows the Red Eagles’ recent run of awful results, which has seen them fail to pick a victory from each of their past five games.

During that time, ‘Mukwano Gwabanji’ suffered two defeats and picked three draws.

His final game had Express pick a one-all stalemate with table leaders BUL FC at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

Currently, the club sits seventh on the 16-team table with 13 points in their opening nine games of the season.

Odoch has been Express’ head coach for the past one and a half seasons, having initially been made interim midway through the 2021/22 campaign.

He assumed the role after the club sacked former head coach Wasswa Bbosa, who had guided them to the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League title.

Last season, Express under Odoch endured a dismal campaign, finishing 10th with just 34 points in 28 games.
