Manchester United ‘consider Ousmane Dembele as emergency loan option’

Manchester United are reportedly not interested in buying Ousmane Dembele this summer but could attempt to sign the France international on an ’emergency loan’ from Barcelona.
The Red Devils are said to be planning on signing two new players before the end of the transfer window, with a new left-back and right-sided attacker expected to arrive.

United have been strongly linked with Dembele as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho as Borussia Dortmund hold firm on their valuation of the England international.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have ‘no intention’ of signing Dembele on a permanent deal, but the World Cup winner is viewed as a potential loan option.

The 23-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool this summer, has struggled with a succession of injury problems since moving to Camp Nou from Dortmund in 2017.

The attacker was a late substitute in Barca’s 4-0 win over Villarreal in La Liga on September 27.
